NOTICE NOCKAMIXON TOWNSHIP ZONING HEARING BOARD NOTICE IS
HEREBY GIVEN that the Nockamixon Township Zoning Hearing Board
will hold a public hearing on February 2, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
at the Nockamixon Township Building, 589 Lake Warren Road,
Ferndale, PA to consider an application by the Palisades School
District, which requests permission to relocate the existing
visitor's bleachers situated on the southeast side of their
property of Route 412 and Church Hill Road and to construct on
this property a new 8-lane all-weather tract and artificial turf
field. The relocation and construction of these improvements would
violate the Zoning Ordinance 200 foot set-back requirements in
Section 234-19B(2) and the buffer area requirements in Section
234-30. In order to obtain relief to construct and relocate these
improvements, the Palisades School District seeks either a
modification of this Zoning Hearing Board's decision of June 2,
2002 which allowed construction of the visitor's bleachers in the
set-back, or, in the alternative, a variance. All persons
interested in this case are invited to attend the hearing and to
review the file documents in this case at the Nockamixon Township
Building during normal business hours.
